Through our automated system Warnings and Overdue Reminders will be automatically sent to patrons who have provided either their current email address or cell phone number (with texting capabilities).  The time schedule for these tasks are:  three days prior to an items due date and then again at two and seven days overdue.   If an item is still not returned after twenty-one days, a mailed notice will be sent to the borrower’s home.  It will be the borrower’s responsibility to make sure their contact information is current.

If a borrower does not provide an email address or cell phone number they will not receive due date warnings and overdue calls will be made manually by the staff at the two and seven days interval.   If an item is still not returned after twenty-one days, a mailed notice will be sent to the borrower’s home.

These follow-up calls are a courtesy.  The borrowers are ultimately responsible for the items they borrow and returning or renewing these items in a timely manner.
